  • PURPOSE:To realize space saving of the fingerprint reader, to simplify the operation and to make the certifying operation confidential by providing a fingerprint reading head on the key top of a key operated by a user and operating the fingerprint reading head by detecting a fact that this key is depressed by the user. CONSTITUTION:A keyboard 6 is provided with not only ten keys for inputting a transaction amount and an identification number, etc., and a confirmation key which is depressed at the time when an inputted data is confirmed but also a circle key 6a which is depressed at the time when an input of the transaction amount is ended. On the key top of this circle key 6a, a fingerprint reading head is formed. When a customer executes a transaction, a card is inserted and a transaction classification is selected, and thereafter, the transaction amount is inputted. In the end of the input of the transaction amount, the circle key 6a is depressed. At this time, the device reads a fingerprint, and collates it with a fingerprint data of the person himself.
